Italian Prime Minister was attacked last night. “Silvio Berlusconi” who also the club president of AC Milan was attacked by a man last night at milan, Italy. The attacker name is Massimo Tataglia, he is a man with mental problems. The suspect had 10 year history of mental health problems.
Police have charged Massimo Tataglia with aggravated assault for hurling a miniature replica of Milan’s gothic cathedral at the controversial prime minister.
Silvio Berlusconi was on the rally at milan last night. Scuffles had broken out earlier at the rally, after about 10 people jeered him a “clown”. He shouted back at them “shame on you”, drowning them voice out with the help of the sound system.
Hospital spokesman say “He shaken and beaten up, but reacted with his usual temperament,”. “I’m fine, I’m fine,” the prime minister was quoted as saying by ANSA as he left the emergency room.
Italian President Giorgio Napolitano said he “strongly condemned” the attack.
Berlusconi was the victim of a similar attack several years ago (2004) in Rome when a young man hit him with a camera tripod cutting his head. He has come under increasing pressure in recent months over his private life and business affairs. A series of allegations about his private life this year led his wife Veronica Lario to file for divorce.
The guards carry Berlusconi into a car and rushed him to hospital in the northern industrial hub where he will stay for 24 hours. Before being driven away, he try to show his fans that he was allright.
